Understanding the “Baby Blues”
Many new moms experience what’s called the baby blues in the first couple of weeks postpartum.
This can look like:
- Mood swings
- Tearfulness
- Irritability
- Feeling overwhelmed
These feelings are incredibly common and often linked to hormonal shifts, exhaustion, and the adjustment to life with a newborn. For most moms, they ease within a couple of weeks as the body begins to stabilize.
