Simple Skincare Routine

I know I should be taking care of my skin. I know I should wash my face every day, wear sunscreen and have some kind of skincare routine. But actually sticking to one? That’s a different story!

Between running a business, taking care of my family and everything else on my to-do list, I need skincare to be simple. If a routine has too many steps, I can promise you I’m probably not going to keep up with it.

That’s why I’ve been so excited to find products, sold by a local esthetician who is a small business owner herself (and you KNOW we love to support woman-owned small businesses) that I actually enjoy using. My routine isn’t perfect, but my skin is happy, and that feels like a win!

It feels great on my skin, and it’s basically a three-in-one: moisturizer, sunscreen and a little bit of coverage. I don’t have time to put on a moisturizer, sunscreen and a light foundation every morning, so having one product that does all three is a game changer for me!

My nighttime favorite: Sleep Recovery Barrier Mask

I recently started using the Sleep Recovery Barrier Mask every night, and my skin LOVES it. It’s a really thick moisturizer, which is exactly what I want at the end of the day.

After I wash my face, I put it on and don’t feel guilty if it’s the only thing I use that night. One step, happy skin, done!

I also have a couple of other products I like to switch into my routine: the Calming Bio-Lipid Repair Crème and Cell Youth Actif™. I don’t use them consistently, but I like having options and will usually reach for one or two extra products depending on the day and what my skin feels like it needs.

Keeping it simple in the shower

Now, about washing my face. I know I’m supposed to use a cleanser every day, but as we’ve established, I like to keep things simple! So I keep the Panthenol Cleanser in the shower, where I’m much more likely to remember to use it.

Once or twice a week, or whenever I remember, I add a little Crystal Clarity Microdermabrasion Creme to help scrub away dead skin. It’s an easy way to give my skin a little extra attention without adding a whole new step to my day.

My routine might not be the most consistent or the most elaborate, but I’ve found products I love and a way to use them that works for me. And honestly, that’s what makes me want to keep using them!
